Lawyers For Human Rights International has withdrawn today its petitions in the Supreme Court of India through which it had sought relief for Balwant Singh Rajoana, as the Home Ministry has already stayed the execution during the pendency of the appeals pending in the Supreme Court of India and the Mercy petitions filed by SGPC and DSGPC before the President of India. Another petition related to the same matter has been dismissed today by the Supreme Court of India. The petitions have been filed by the LFHRI through its District president Chandigarh, Tejinder Singh Sudan, Advocate on Monday as the convict Balwant Singh Rajoana has to be executed on 31st of March, 2012.
